 Teclast M30

Introduction:
The Teclast M30 is a small and sleek-looking PMP with, as the main feature, an AMOLED screen, with touch-sensitive buttons. Very slim, it can fit very easily in your pocket. This player use the Rockchip RK2706, and is available in 2 sizes: 2gb, and 4gb.

Design:
It’s a very simple design, the Length and Width just a little bit bigger than a credit card, with 6.5mm of thickness. All black with a black "brushed steel" back to avoid scratching a smooth shiny surface. touch-sensitive buttons light up (red) when it detect your finger on it)

Screen:
This is the main feature and selling point of the Teclast M30, the 2.8inch AMOLED screen. Very bright (10000:1 contrast ratio), even at 3 of Brightness, the colors doesn’t wash out when you look at the player from the sides.

Very straight-forward, the M30 have touch-sensitive buttons on the front: Play/Pause, M (Mode), Left, Right, and the points in the middle, their purpose is to slide (up and down) your finger on it, and this feature can be used to navigate around, and when you’re listening to a movie or a song, it’s to raise and lower the volume. The only button on the side is the Power/Hold slider button.

The GUI:
The graphical interface is simple, straight-forward, easy to learn and navigate around. You can choose from 4 different preset backgrounds. One thing is if you select Video, you will only be able to see the movie files, not the musics, vice-versa, same thing for the Photo option.

Audio:
The M30 is compatible with MP3, FLAC and APE audio files. It also support lyrics (.LRC files). You can choose Lyrics or the Spectrum, if there’s no lyrics file, it’s like the spectrum is turned off. This player also feature the Microsoft PlayFX, to enhance musics. You can also choose one of the different equalizer presets, as well as customize your own equalizer settings.

Video:

Because of the AMOLED screen, videos on this player is great! The Teclast M30 support AVI, MPEG-4, XviD and DivX. It also support FLV (Flash Video) files, those are found on Youtube, Dailymotion and websites similar to this, just make sure you put your FLV files in the Video folder. This player support files with a video bitrate up to around 750-800kbps, higher than this might make the video lag.

-FM Radio
The FM radio on this player is pretty good, you can manage your presets and radio stations right on the player instead of editing a file in Windows.

-Text Viewing/E-book
This player support TXT file format, this can be good to keep notes on your PMP while you listen to musics.

Conclusion:

The Teclast M30 is a very good and affordable player with the new AMOLED screen. If you’re into high-quality videos and you’re looking for the best type of screen, be sure to take this player.  I would suggest you to take the 4gb model, because videos take a lot of space when in good quality, and there’s no expansion memory slot on this player. But if you’re not that much into videos, go ahead for the 2gb model.
